Ten years of bringing value to exhibitors and sponsors
Ten years of bringing value to exhibitors and sponsors
As The CropTec Show prepares to deliver its tenth year of learning and knowledge exchange to the arable sector, long time exhibitors and sponsors share why they keep coming back.
Gareth Jones, Event Manager at CropTec, has helped keep the event focused and delivering consistent value for visitors and exhibitors alike. Much has changed over the past decade, but the rationale behind CropTec remains the same: To bring together practical know-how and scientific research to equip farmers with the latest information and technology to help them make the right decisions for their businesses.
It is this commitment to knowledge exchange that has made the show such a success while maintaining its unique offering. Crop nutrition experts Yara UK have sponsored the Crop Nutrition seminar every year since the show began. Marketing Operations Manager Heather Barrett explains why its become an important event for the company:
We are really proud to have been part of CropTecs 10 years of history, we love attending the show. For our business, there is nothing better than getting in front of farmers and members of the industry. CropTec gives us that opportunity for face-to-face contact with leading farmers who are interested in the technical side of farming, want to see whats new and are willing share their experiences as well.
Attending CropTec each year enables the Yara team to better understand the mood of the industry, as well as what is driving farmers and their decision making, she explains.
The focus on knowledge exchange at CropTec is another important element for Yara UK, she continues. We see our seminar not only as a chance to put forward our ideas and new developments, but also as an opportunity to get feedback from visitors. Some of our best conversations happen on our show stand after the talks, when people come to have more discussions and share their thoughts about what was said.
This is so much more than just a meet-and-greet opportunity. These conversations help us to see what is driving interest, what direction farmers are looking to move in, or why a particular topic is important to them. It helps us continue to grow and develop our toolkit and keeps us at the top of our game.
Stephen Burcham is Director for Horsch UK, which is another 10-year exhibitor and long-time sponsor at CropTec. He agrees that the type of attendees at the show make it an unmissable date in the events calendar.
Horsch has been exhibiting at CropTec since the start. We like CropTec because it is a technical event attended by decision makers and a good range of exhibitors too. People come for information, and we like to be part of that by sponsoring the seminars. It is a niche event, but it gives us the opportunity to reach the right people and the seminars have been getting better and better.
