Chat to ADAS - your independent arable advice partner

Ok so we may lack the merchandise (pen supplies on farms across the country must be running low at this stage) but our scientists, researchers, and consultants are still on hand at the CropTec 2020 Digital Event. Whether youre after advice on herbicide control, tackling crop carbon emissions, or preparing your farm finances for a future without BPS, were available to have an online chat every day of CropTec.

Visit our stand to learn more about how we can help you and also, pick up points as part of the BASIS Digital Knowledge Trail!

Ask our crop physiologists a question

Our crop physiologists will be available day one of CropTec to answer your crop productivity questions, whether its about our different Yield Enhancement Networks, our grain nutrient benchmarking service YEN Nutrition, or to enquire about net-zero arable farming.

Also available at our virtual stand will be Sarah Wynn, Technical Director of our Sustainable Food and Farming team. Sarah is a specialist in addressing sustainability challenges in agricultural production. If youre struggling to get up to speed with new sustainability requirements within your supply chain, talk to Sarah on the 24th November.

Improve your resilience in 2021

The new Agriculture Bill is now law and the Basic Payment Scheme (BPS) appears set for extinction on a sliding scale between now and 2028. Rather than focus on the challenges of the next few years, it is a far more worthwhile exercise to look for the opportunities.

Our Farm Business Consultants will be on hand throughout the whole of Croptec to advise on grant schemes, preparing your farm finances for the BPS transition, the new ELM scheme and Countryside Stewardship.

Take control of your crop protection

As chemical methods of control available decrease and herbicide resistance and pressures from pests such as Cabbage Stem Flea Beetle are on the rise, we have our top research scientists available to answer your crop protection questions. On day two of CropTec, Dr Sarah Cook, a leading UK expert in blackgrass, brome and broadleaf weed management, can take any questions you may have about prevalent weeds, herbicide resistance threat. and action treatments available.

On the final day of Croptec, Dr Steve Ellis, entomologist and manager of our Pest Evaluation Services team with be available to take questions about arable pest control, including insecticides. If youre looking for someone to talk to about pest management, with 32 years of entomological experience, Steve is your man!
