Simon is the  Farms Director for Worth Farms Ltd on the Holbeach Marsh in South Lincolnshire, which grows 3000ha of arable and root crops. Part of the AH Worth group, the farm supplies pre pack potatoes to sister company AH Worth Ltd and Manor Fresh.

After completing a HND at Bishop Burton College, Simon joined the Velcourt's management training scheme in 2006, working as assistant farm manager in Gloucester and South Lincolnshire. Simon is BASIS and FACTS qualified. After 5 years with Velcourt Simon joined Worth Farms as Production Manager and was latterly promoted to Farm Manager in 2014. In 2015 Worth Farms won the Farm Business of the year award at the Food and Farming awards and in 2016 Simon was a finalist in the Marks and Spencer Farming for the Future Awards and the Farm Manager category in the Farmers Weekly Awards.

Over the last few years the farm has gradually been reducing the reliance on the plough to a more non inversion system along with the introduction of cover crops ahead of all spring crops working in conjunction with Marks and Spencer’s as one of their indicator and innovation farms to assess the benefits of cover crops on soil health and biology within an intensive root and vegetable rotation.
