Martin lives and farms in Herefordshire on the banks of the River Wye. The farm historically was very mixed, with dairy, beef, sheep and crops. Now it is arable and grassland with livestock visiting on ‘tack’. Martin also contract farms and runs a contracting business.

Martin has been an AHDB Monitor Farmer 2017-2020, and has been heavily involved in raising awareness and representing agriculture on water quality, diffuse pollution and soil management within the River Wye catchment, he currently co-chairs Farm Herefordshire, a collaborative group with soil health and water quality at its heart.
