Strategies for disease control in a changing climate: where next?

Andrew Watson is a farmer’s son from Eastern Scotland and graduated from Edinburgh University in 1989 with a Hons degree in Agriculture and has worked as both a commercial and independent agronomist in Suffolk and latterly in Norfolk since that time. Between 2008 and 2011, he served as the chairman of the AICC (Association of Independent Crop Consultants) where he also had both legislative and nutritional technical roles on behalf of AICC members. He also served as a BASIS approved trainer for nutritional and general agronomy courses. In 2013, he joined K+S Kali as the technical manager for the UK and Ireland but in October 2015, he moved to NIAB as the Eastern regional agronomist and in 2021 took on the additional role as technical lead for NIAB membership.
