Major Equipment designs and manufactures rotary mowers, hedge-cutting heads, grass toppers and slurry handling tankers and applicators from its factory in County Mayo, Ireland, with UK sales and support from its depot in Heysham, Lancashire. At LAMMA 2027 (20–21 January, NEC Birmingham) Major will showcase a selection of equipment from its extensive range including:
Alpine 2670 with 7.5m Dribble Bar - 2,670 gallon dropped-axle LGP tanker with a 30-outlet low emission slurry applicator. The dropped axle sits 340 mm lower than a standard LGP tanker for wet and undulating ground.
MJ39 hedge-cutter heads - 0.80m, 1.10m and 1.43m models for power arms and excavators. These hedge cutter heads feature overlapping cut-and-mulch blades and fewer wearing parts than a flail to deliver significant operational savings.
Cyclone MJ30-400-FM - front-mounted 4m Cyclone for stubble, cover crops, pasture and scrub. The MAJOR Cyclone mowers require 25–50% less power than than comparable flail mowers.
MJ36-140 verge mower -1.4m offset rotary mower with 140° hydraulic movement for verges, ditches and light hedge work.
MJ31-280-SK - A 2.80m Cyclone developed for use on a skid-steer.
Slurry applicator units - a selection of trailing shoe and dribble bar applicators.
