Rainfall Statistics & Blackgrass pushing Land Drainage
up the farming agenda
William Moorfoot exhibiting on stand 178 in Hall 1
5 consecutive months of above average rainfall combined with the well documented ongoing battle against blackgrass has created a significant level of enthusiasm for land drainage investment in 2017. So says Tim Sisson, Managing Director of William Morfoot Ltd – who are exhibiting again at CropTec show this autumn on stand 178.
Future ongoing uncertainty over Brexit policy changes mean that ensuring soils are in the best possible state to deliver top level yields has also been a driving factor in the land drainage market place over the last 12 months. When coupling all of this with the fact that many farms have got old and decaying drainage systems dating back to the 60’s and 70’s, it is apparent that the need for talking through drainage investment on farms which have drainage issues has perhaps never been greater.
CropTec provides farmers & growers the chance to visit the William Morfoot team and discuss drainage options face to face as well as understanding in more detail about the benefits that land drainage can offer. Arrangements can be made at the show for follow up surveys to take place in order to get drainage scheme proposals and costs in place so they are ready to implement at a time to fit with the timings of the farm.
William Morfoot Ltd operate across the UK and today work for some of the leading names in UK agriculture. Farmers with specific enquires they would like to discuss are requested to bring any maps and existing drainage information with them to the show so that our team are able to best understand the nature of the drainage issues being experienced by the farm.
