BioNatureUK Ltd is a fresh face on the UK fertiliser scene – with a fresh approach that is helping clients earn more from their crops.
Based at Tealby, North Lincolnshire, it operates across the whole of the UK and sells via a nationwide network of business partners.
Owners Mark Carter and Steve Mowbray have worked with farmers for years and fully understand the challenges they face to make a living today:
“We call our approach Smart Science, which aims to compliment the farmers’ own activities by offering a new, scientific solution to crop nutrition”, says Mark.
Among its key products is the Delta range of liquid fertilisers, which supply nitrogen in a stabilised amine (NH2) form:
“Using this form of nitrogen minimises degradation by bacteria and means the nutrients can be taken up directly by plant leaves and roots”, says Mark.
“Delta treated plants produce more of the plant hormone cytokinin, which enables them to grow a stronger, better developed plant that is more disease resistant and has greater productive potential”.
In a catchy season such as the current one, the ability to apply fertilisers on a ‘little and often basis’ is a real benefit:
“The speed with which crops take up these nutrients – and the range of minor nutrients and trace elements available – enables us to react quickly to counteract stresses during the season”.
“Applying fertiliser on a ‘little and often’ basis enables crops to achieve their full yield potential, while also meeting the needs of the food industry and operating in an environmentally sustainable way”.
