CropTec to show latest spray technique innovation

Syngenta is to sponsor the Spraying Technology Hub and Sprayer Demonstration Area at this year’s CropTec event – creating a focus of excellence and best practice for research based results and on-farm performance.

The Syngenta stand (number 1.152) at the CropTec event, to take place at the East of England Showground, Peterborough on 28 and 29 November, will give growers and sprayer operators the chance to see some of the latest developments in nozzle innovation and application techniques, including working demonstrations of the latest 90% Drift Reduction Technology.

New results of trials at the company’s network of Innovation Centres – along with its acclaimed five-year Black-Grass Focus Site in Cambridgeshire – will demonstrate the crucial role of operators and application techniques to ensure sprays hit the target and deliver the optimum levels of control possible.

Presentations by Syngenta Application Specialists in the CropTec Spraying Technology Hub will  further reinforce the potential to improve pre-emergence soil coverage and enhance black-grass control, by following the mantra to ‘Go Slow; Go Low; Get Covered’.

Visitors will be able to immerse themselves in a dramatic 360° virtual reality experience of pre-emergence spray application – and see how their actions can achieve better black-grass control.  There’s the chance to pick up a free Low; Slow; Covered T-shirt, by taking part in a pre-em spray survey and a special ‘Show Offer’ to buy 90% DRT nozzles.

Operators can visit the stand to enter the prestigious Farm Sprayer Operator of the Year 2019. The Award links up many of the UK’s top operators, and enables all entrants to share experiences and knowledge that will improve results.

The Spraying Technology Hub will also feature the some of latest information on buffer zones, a new conservation agriculture initiative and innovation in the practical delivery of precision agriculture.
