Learning what’s new while earning CPD points at The CropTec Show

Visitors to The CropTec Show have numerous opportunities to learn about all things arable when The CropTec Show returns to the East of England Showground, Peterborough on November 24 and 25.

New for 2021 in the main seminar programme is a lunchtime debate featuring three experienced farmers exploring what the road to regenerative agriculture looks like in practice. Other sessions cover soil health, crop nutrition and crop protection with leading experts bringing the latest news and updates. For further information visit https://www.croptecshow.com/seminar/

The sponsored Knowledge Hubs bring visitors up to speed with further seminars and opportunities for one-to-one advice too. The Cost Management Hub supported by AHDB provides insight into reducing unit costs of production, new technology and cutting-edge agronomy. Tom Jenkins and Chris Danks lead UKRI’s Transforming Food Production Hub with additional guest speaker expertise and specialisms showcasing recent and ongoing research and innovation. Limagrain’s Plant Breeding Hub, will feature members of the company’s research team as well as independent plant breeding experts.

Also new to The CropTec Show this year is Careers Corner. Sponsored by BASIS, it highlights the important role career development has in helping agriculture advance towards a more sustainable future. The Careers Corner is in a dedicated area comprising stands focused on career development, training and education. All are welcome whether a student, graduate or someone looking for their next career move. As well as seminars following the career journeys of industry representatives, visitors can gain one-to-one specialist advice at CV and interview clinics.

Those in search of BASIS and NRoSO points won’t be disappointed either. BASIS and NRoSO members can collect two points for attending CropTec and up to four additional CPD points by taking part in the Knowledge Trails. There are 16 exhibitors taking part in the BASIS trail and five in the NRoSO trail. Having registered and collected a stamp card from the BASIS or NRoSO stand, members can visit the stands of most interest to them.
