At The CropTec Show 2018 Prodata Weather Systems will be showcasing the Davis EnviroMonitor system

What is EnviroMonitor?

Have you ever wished for an assistant who would roam your fields, day and night, and keep you informed of changes that might affect your plants? Or maybe a time machine that would let you go back a day or two before an unusual cold snap damaged your crop? EnviroMonitor lets you add almost any sensor you need (dozens of the most popular industry standard sensors) anywhere you need it in your microclimate. As your needs grow and change, you can add or move sensors to create an affordable field system with Cloud-based data and user-friendly software.

Why Davis?

Davis has been providing precision agriculture solutions for the farming and ranching community for years. EnviroMonitor, a natural extension of our capabilities, harnesses the power of precision agriculture. The platform combines weather data with intelligent software to help you determine the best time to plant, spray, fertilize, and harvest.

The EnviroMonitor Gateway:

The EnviroMonitor Gateway collects all data from the Nodes and pushes it securely to the Cloud using cellular connectivity. From there the data can be accessed on your internet-connected devices like smartphones, tablets and computers. The Gateway is encapsulated in a weather-resistant housing and is solar-powered with a battery back-up to keep your data flowing. You can gather data from up to 20 Nodes per Gateway. That’s up to 80 Davis and third party sensors per Gateway! And because the Nodes can communicate up to a 4,000 feet (1200 meters) in ideal conditions, you can cover a lot of ground with one network.

The EnviroMonitor Node:

Your sensor data collector – Connect Davis’ accurate and reliable sensors, as well as third party sensors such as flow meters, pressure switches and more, to an EnviroMonitor Node. You can connect up to four sensors per node. Nodes gather data from sensors and communicate with each other (up to 4,000 feet, 1200 meters). They connect over a self-optimizing mesh network that feeds your data wirelessly to the EnviroMonitor Gateway. Every Node is a self-contained, weather-resistant, solar-powered unit that comes with mounting hardware. You can have up to 20 Nodes in one network.

Save Money and Improve Yields:

EnviroMonitor delivers actionable intelligence by measuring, monitoring, and managing critical field data from remote locations through a network of sensors.

Key Advantages of EnviroMonitor:–

  • Easy access to data from field sensors
  • Use Davis and third-party sensors
  • Consolidate multiple systems (and cell plans) into one
  • Quickly set up alarms and alerts
  • High-quality and affordable
  • Intuitive user interface
